Are seymour duncans and duncan designed pickups same?
Which one is better?
What makes it better?

Thanks

Duncan Designed pickups are basically s***. Basically the company would buy the rights to use their name on the pickup. Seymour Duncan had no hand in making them.

If a pickup says Seymour Duncan on it though that means it's good.

no

seymour duncan obviously

its being made in a factory that specialises in pickups rather than a manufacturer that specialises in making guitars

Because it says SD does not mean it's good dumbarse. They do some pretty mediocre pickups and some good ones, but the name doesn't make it good.

Also, some Duncan Designed ones are pretty decent.

Go for the '06 model. You will know what the '05 model is when you see in the description saying, "Duncan designed" pickups. The '06 model has real SDs in them. The trem is also more reliable.'

Just looked at MF. Guess the only real SD in the '06 DK2 model is the JB at the bridge.

I think almost all Seymour Duncan pickups are amazing except for those horrible rail pickups (hot rails, cool rails, jb jr)

Those suck so hard.

Meh it's all relative. You do know that Mustaine does a lot of the lead guitar in Megadeth don't you? He does both Rhythm and Lead.
