hey

if i put a metal (maybe aluminium) pickguard on my squier bass, instead of the crappy acrylic one it has, will it screw up the pickups' magnets or the electrics in any way??

Nope, it'd probably help as the metal would help out sheild hum and such (it'd be advised that you shield the interior cavities with copper tape or aluminium foil to maximize the effect hough)

My guitar has got a aluminium pickguard

My friend got my a peice of diamond plate and I traced my own pickguard then gave it back to him to cut it out

I'm sure steel would affect it, but aluminum isn't magnetic (Magnets wont stick to it).

metal p guards dont affect the magnets at all. I got a strat thats real industrial lookin with a metal scratchplate and it dont affect the pups at all.
