I'm in need of a bigger amp (preferably 100 watts or more) for gigging purposes. I'd be playing mostly funk, but im looking for a good amp for most purposes. I have been playing a 200 watt SWR working man which i absolutely love, but its on loan from a friend and i'd like to be playing my own stuff. Any help?

Behringer BX4500, 400 watts and an Ultrabass filter that emits a signal an octave lower than your playing, super low. Musicians Friend

sorry.

threadstarter: look at some laneys and ashdowns. you can get a 120W laney combo for around £199 (solid state of course) and ashdown Electric blues are 180W and around £300.

or see about buying the amp from your friend

an octave lower? its a bit gimmicky, since most people won't notice.
