Im using a guitar with an EMG 85 at the neck, and im aiming for the sound that avenged sevenfold uses in the beginning of MIA with the clean. anyone know how to achieve this? or what are just some settings you use for clean, ive been trying to get a good one forever, but im not satisfied. also, can anyone explain a weird buzzing sound in the background of my amp sound? none of my cords are loose, and it does it on my clean channel and distortion, i cant get rid of it.
Our lives are pretty much the same, but mine cost $14.99 a month.

Which amp are you using? And EMGs are not the best pickups for cleans. Plus a7x uses really nice gear and probably even nicer recording/mastering stuff...

the buzzing is a bad ground, try a new outlet.

for the clean? try getting a chorus pedal or something.

youll flame me if i tell you what amp it is....but anyway....ive read the EMG 60 is better for cleans than the 85...is this so? i was also looking into duncans, but theres so many different kinds.

EDIT: i changed outlets and the buzzing still comes back.

it's a marshall MG then? the buzzy-ness of the buzz. add some chorus over the clean or something.

yes the 60 is supposed to get better cleans, but the 85 is fine, imo.

If its the Mg, then that amp is known for buzziness. As for cleans try a deja vibe pedal
