People often point out: "Hey you strug that string the wrong way!" Does it even really matter? You just have to get used to tuning backwards.
People think im insane becuase i am frowning all the time.

If you mean the highest string is now where the lowest string was it does make a difference. The pickups are set in a certain way for each string/tuning.

So that the high E is where the low E is supposed to be? Or wrapped around the spring post the wrong way?

I think he means on the "wrong: side of the tuning post. . .

It's good to do them all the same way so you can tune easily and not spend ten minutes wondering why the string is getting looser instead of tighter (trust me, ive done it)

Also, at least on my guitar, the guitar is designed to have the strings all on the outside of the post wrapped counter clockwise, that way they run straight through the nut (which is supposedeley good, hence an angled headstock and staggered tuners). . .

So umm. . .

*yet another nonsensical post from hamish. . .

Depends what you mean by backwards.

no he means where, when he puts on the string, he has to turn the tuning knob clockwise for the note to go up or down

if you still dont get what im saying, usually the way a string is strung, is that it is wrapped around counter-clock wise (atleast i think its that way?)
