So i cleaned my guitar and was going to put new strings on it, no big deal eh. Well I went to put on the low e and it's touching the bridge pickup. I'm really bad with guitar maitence type things, and my guitar came with a really high bridge pickup, so i was wondering how to lower it. I have a Gibson SG if that is of significance

You unscrew the the screws at the holders, this will lower/raise the pickup itself. Just loosen it a bit.

You see the screws next to the pickups? Get a screwdriver. Turn it the appropriate way.
You're done.

One thing I've noticed on a friends strat is that the actual pole pieces are raised sometimes almost touching the strings, how do you change them individually?
So many possibilities, so little ability.

You know you're a guitar player when you tell your father what note he's yelling at you in and then improvise over the top.
