Pentatonic, some modes to start

Major before pentatonic. Pentatonic won't make sense unless you know the major scales. Also learn the minor scale.

Start with Pentatonic and Major. Then start learning the modes of the major scale which includes the minor scale.

Defenintly learn the Pentatonic though, as it is the basis for most popular blues and rock leads.Good luck. Scales can be a tedious thing to learn but the rewards are awesome.
