ive been playing guitar for 2 years now. and i got about 500 bucks kicking around, so i need to blow some money. i have no idea whatsoever about bass. i would like a 5 string, i think. so...........which one

I am a big fan of spectors, and I would love to have one, my mate is in a metal band and uses a european series spector 5, and it always sounds good, or:

I have one of these, but in a 6, and it is the dog's bollocks. I also play metal plus, the 35" scale will help a lot with the B string. And it's neck-thru construction... which adds to the tone, gets the nice, growly sustain you need in metal
