So, i've been having a hell of a time trying to order a pickguard and accessory kit(for my strat) through my local shop. Apparently fender sells aged white parts, but not aged white pickguards, so they can't match. . . that doesn't really make sense does it?

Any thoughts?

I will probably get a mint green pickguard and aged white parts. . . but their website is lame, they sell 4 mini amps, but 3 are under accessories, and one is under amps ???

I'm getting really frustrated. . .

Anyone have comments on the mint green and aged white on my guitar?
Also, will the bridge cover fender sells fit my standard strat? Its says it will fit guitars with a "vintage" bridge. Is that the same as a vintage tremolo?

Any response would be appreciated, before I kill myslef. . .

I can't see aged white and mint green together. You can always try soaking a pure white pickguard in coffee for a while.

age white pickup covers look hot against a white guard.
dont get the mint green. like said, u can always age the plastic parts with coffee, or tea dips.

the mini amps are all lame.

and my vintage bridge came with a cover.
u can call their 1-800 service number and talk to a rep if ur not sure it will fit.
you can see it in this pic.

Well, yes, but your pickup covers match the body of your guitar, my guitar isn't white, (but that gold hardware is really cool).

And is it just me or does it look like your tremolo springs are loose?

Maybe I'll get the "parchment" parts and the mint green?

Arrgghh, if only the guys at the guitar shop werent such stupid hippies. . .

EEEEEEEDIT: The Yngwie Strat has a mint green pickgaurd and aged parts (according to the MF catalogue)

yeah the ym strat is the "mint" gaurd strat. but they have aged mint parts too.
so make sure thats not what they have in ur picture.

and its MIA, so it stays in tune even with the bridge at a "slight" lift. gives me good bridge movement.

im thinking, if u get green guard, u get green pup covers and knobs. and then age the parts with coffee dips.

if u go with aged white, then u stick with white or aged white all around. and so on.

Well, i am going to get a paul at the end of the summer. . .

I'm just annoyed at the clumsiness of the whole system. . .

and fender doesn't sell mint green parts (again. . . AARRGGGHHH) its just white, parchment, aged, and black. . . maybe they want me to buy a yngwie strat?

And are you dissing my MIM? (lol) I didn't realize the lift affected tuning, (I just experienced that when I tried to put 12's on my strat and the bridge almost came off!)

thanks,
that's olympic white, gold hardware, aged parts, white guard, on a (remake) 62' vintage players deluxe strat.

it came with a tortoise guard, but the clean white guard makes the olympic paint and the aged pups, look more obviously off-white.
