My amp is a MG Series 10CD Model. The only settings I have on it are:

Clean Channel: Volume
Overdrive Channel: Gain and Volume
Tone Channel: Contour

So with that being disclosed, I want to know how to get a metal sound out of it? Should I just turn up the gain all the way?

contour is like a middle scoop, turning it up will scoop your mids out, turning it down will add them in
New tracks on my profile! Please check them out and see what you think!

Contour is the oppoiste of a mid scoop. Turning them to ten will scoop your mids for a metalish sound. And turning it to 0 puts mids on full.

Well, being that its only a little 10watt amp...its going to be hard to get a good sound out of it (and thats with most all 10watt amps, not just the MGs). But yes, turn the gain up.

Find out and see for yourself!

And yea, contour is like a mid-scoop.
