just wonderin

never actually played a bass, but learned a few things on guitar using top 4 strings.

im gettin a bass tomorrow, but i dunno if i need a seperate amp or would using my guitar amp be fine?

hehe, gonna be spendin a good $500 tomorrow......

yeah, you need a seperate amp, because the bass frequencys are so low, you could kill a guitar speaker.

Naw it will work, just it's not ideal. Bass is of a very low frequency, and a bass amp is designed specifically for those frequencies to give that really punchy sound.

get a seperate amp you could blow your guitar amp.

yer speakers- oops!
*Blah blah blah my soul to take*

The amp is fine. It's just the speakers that have issues.

(Although a guitar amp isn't optimum for guitar frequencies.)
