Well, i have a mesa boogie single rectifier head with a 4x12 cab.... i was wondering what are some good seetings i should put the amp at to get like heavy-metal, hardcore sound out of it, and settings to get a good sound for solos.... thanks

i dont think single rectifiers are metal/hardcore amps. but i guess try turning the gain up and the mids down

why don't u just mess around with it, find the sound you want, find YOUR unique sound.

Mesa Boogie's EQs are based off the treble, the treble control has a great effect over the other bass and mids so be careful with that one.

Becareful so you don't set the bass to high as things can easily get muddy.

Set the mids to whatever you like

what if i used a distortion pedal, would i still be able to keep the same rectifier sound with more distortion?

there is no point in using a distortion pedal with a Mesa Boogie Rectifier

Maybe an overdrive pedal, just as a boost to kick it into that next level of gain but otherwise...

it's a two channel rectifier, right?
