Im deciding to buy my first and probably only electric, and I have narrowed it down to 4. Most likely i'll go with which one costs less but I'd like to see what other people have to say.

Peavy HP Signature EX
PRS SE EG
Ibanez AS73
Ibanez SA160

Id like to play all types of music from Classic to Grunge

PRS SE EG, most definately. But you're first electric? Please tell me you've been playing guitar for a while at least, either on someone elses electric or your own acoustic.

Im still a n00b

Been playing acoustin for about..5 months, Epiphone DR-100. It gets boring, when I was at my friends I picked up his electric and it was way more fun to fool around with..the different tones and effects. If I find it fun it'll give me more reason to keep playing.

The SA160 is pretty good, but I've heard the new SA's can't handle high gain too well....maybe this one's a bit better.

The Peavey is a great guitar, very versatile, at least the American one is. Peavey's exports, however, are always great and dangerously close to the american ones.

PRS SE EG? Isn't that the one with single coils? I think that's a bit wierd...it won't sound very PRS like. Get an SE Standard or Custom if you can afford it.

The AS73 looks great. Ibanez Artcores are great hollowbodies, but they feed back like your mom after 3 gin and tonics are high volumes. It's great for blues, jazz and calm rock, but anything louder will get you serious noise issues.

Overall, I'd take the peavey.

Ya heard bout the single coils in reviews and some said it wasn't to their liking...but if I were to get the PRS I'd just change em

I personally think that you should get a somewhat cheaper guitar first, maybe a Fender or Epiphone, PRS's are really good, but really expensive. Make sure you have an amp too.
