Hi guys

I'm a bit of a newb here so bear with me. My apologies in advance if I've put this into the wrong forum.

I've just bought a Crate GFX-120. It sounds great but when I turn the DSP knob to whatever effect, then crank the level, I get no effect and a high pitched tone that doesn't go away until the effect is off completely. I'm at a loss if this is something I'm doing or something that needs to be fixed.

Thanks in advance

If you have a reverb tank in the bottom of the amp, look and see if there's something underneath it like a roll of strings or something.

The effects don't work. Like I'll switch it to Delay or Flanger or whatever and then nothing is different. I try turning it up a few notches on the level knob and I get a high pitched noise.

I'm at a loss to know what a Reverb tank is. I don't know if theres one or not :S

You dont have a reverb tank.
I know this might sound stupid, but is the pedal hooked up right?

I figured. I'm just an SS newbzor :P

The pedal?

I don't have an effects pedal, this is the amp effects.

I have a footswitch but thats for channel selection (I'm assuming).
