What classic rock song would you most like to see covered? Name the song, the band who originally played it and the band you'd like to see cover it.

Personally, I'd like to see Deep Purple's Highway Star covered by Children of Bodom.

I'd like to see the Raconteurs do some Abbey Road-era Beatles. And I wanna see the Hives do something like Pictures of Lily. I also would have loved to see Hendrix cover Dylan's Visions of Johanna, but that's not going to happen.
Listen to mah discs.

And coming soon, THE CLEVER DEVILS VS. THE BLONDES.

I think it'd be cool to see Van Halen do some Queen songs.. none in particular.

FOr some reason I think Incubus playing some Pink Floyd would be cool, maybe something off of The Wall.

Edit: The Red Hot Chili Peppers doing Frankenstein by The Edgar Winter Group might sound cool as well.

I would also like to see Springsteen cover Like A Rolling Stone with that huge band from the Seegers Sessions. They were amazing live and I really think they could pull it off.

^^I'd rather see Wolfmother cover some Sabbath, but Zeppelin works too.

And Coheed doing Rush..that would be badass.

after thinking about it for 10 seconds, that would be very cool indeed.

The Black Crowes do a lot of Classic Rock covers...Street Fighting Man, The Weight, Ten Years Gone, Lucifer Sam, Honkey Tonk Woman and Fearless just to name a few. The Crowes should do Breathe/Breathe Reprise, considering their songs Good Friday and a part in A Conspiracy sound just like it anyway If the Crowes play Honkey Tonk Woman when I see them on July 22nd, then I will have seen the song performed by three different major artists- Aerosmith, The Stones, and (if they play it) The Black Crowes

Like a couple of weeks ago there was some news on the main page about rush talking about doing some Who covers. If they do it i would like to hear Wont get fooled again covered.

I saw Willie Nelson last summer, and he played it. His son sang it and played lead. He was pretty good (not SRV good, but still)

I'd like to see a Jam rock band like Dave Matthews or Dispatch (if they were still together) do a cover of "down on the corner" or some other CCR songs.

Yeah, he did a really good job on guitar, but the vocals weren't the best.

I'd love to see Metallica cover Journey's "Lights," that would be the most f***ed up song ever.
