from standard tuning to:

tuning the (6th string) 9th fret to sound like open (5th string)

then tuning (5th string) open to sound like the 5th fret (6th string)

then tuning (4th string) open to sound like the 5th fret (5th string to)

and so on same process as tuning it the standard way.

G# standard

Cradle of Filth is gay, and you are absolutely, positively not allowed to be gay in black metal.

It's kind of like being black in Alabama. Don't do it.

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but I think that's (low to high)....C-G-C-F-A-D?
Sounds like Drop D down a whole step

I've heard of a very similar tuning, C-G-D-G-A-D, which Steve Vai used in "I'm Your Secrets". I don't know what it's called, but I call it 'pentatonic', cos that's what it sounds like.

Sorry to confuse you or anything...cos that didn't make much sense

EDIT: FISH! I was wrong. Forgive me, Liechtenstein.

Get a chromatic tuner

There are two types of tuner:
Guitar, which only tunes the notes of a guitar's standard tunign
and Chromatic, which tunes to any note in the chromatic scale.

Get a Korg CA-30
