I read up in a magazine about how some acoustic players stick to phosphor bronze strings even though they don't last as long as the new coated ones (i.e elixir). They do this because of the tone phosphor bronze gives.

I was wondering, do any of you use phosphor bronze strings? At the moment i'm still on my nanowebs - which have lasted me a good two months so far, however I think i'll need a string change soon as they are starting to dampen.

So what are the pro's and cons of phosphor?

edit: just realized i posted this in wrong forum - supposed to be in acoustic forum!
