Hey guys, I'm in need of a tube amp and I was wondering if any of you have a suggestion about a GOOD QUALITY tube amp equal to or below 500 dollars. I like to play bluesy stuff and I would appreciate it if you state your suggestions upon that.

Thank you very much.

Fender deluxe is a lot more than 400 (a blues jr is 400)

The Hot Rod is 600
The AC15 is 600
Traynor YCV20 is 560

Spend a little more and then pick one of those

wat du ju play ??
Tone is all ...... well probably 75%, in your fingers.
The rest depends on your wallet's thickness !!

hot rod deluxe brand new is 550, you could always haggle or go used. Definately the loudest in the 500 range

You could get a used Peavey Classic 30 and swap the tubes...that'd be a pretty good option.

thats a good idea, but swapping the tubes would be good, but not absolutly necessary

or the val-bee for a more Gary Moore-ish bluess

I second the Peavey Classic 30. I play blues, coiuntry, and some rock, and I love my 50. Very versatile.
Love in technicolour, sprayed out on walls
Well I've been pounding at the pavement
'Til there's nothing at all
I got my cloak and dagger
In a bar room brawl
See the local loves a fighter
Loves a winner to fall

Either a Peavey Classic 30, a Fender Blues Jr or Deluxe or a Laney VC30 or a Vox AC15.

Carvin vintage 16 is another option...

If your price limit is around $500, you can usually find a hot rod deluxe for that on ebay.
It's a fine line between clever and stupid.

you beat me to it....

good idea (change to greenbacks or vintage 30s)

^^
Bass cap to .1mf, couple resistors and bam, a badass blues machine.
