Alright.
Thread time.
So, what specific lick have you learned today and are playing over and over?
Mine's the fast verse part to A gunshot to the head of trepidation - Trivium.
I know, i know.

What about yours?

it took you 15 consecutive hours of practice to realize that playing guitar makes you better at playing guitar. congratulations.

nearly all of Opeth - Black Rose Immortal
well
the first 15 minutes
both electric and acoustic parts up to about that mark because i felt like an epic task
turns out it isnt that hard despite sounding amazing

in particular the first solo (played by the more rhythym dominated guitar [which is the part i learnt because it was the first thing i saw when i opened Guitar Pro, might learn the other guitar part too..]) at about 8 minutes

it sounds awesome and the fact i can play it shows me ive improved
so i like to bask in it

:P

This sort of banjo lick thing... sounds better than it... sounds. That does actually make sense, I promise.
Feel free to ignore my ranting.

you shook me all night long solo by ACDC woot that solo is awsome and not that hard to play

Damage Control by John Petrucci. The intro, and everything in between that and the intro revisited. It's not hard, but it's fun to play. Also, Jaws of Life and Glasgow Kiss. And the Mystical Potatoe Head Groove Thing by Joe Satriani, especially the four-finger one hand tapping theme. I haven't done a lot of it, so it took a while for me to get it down. But yeah. Mostly MPHGT and Damage Control.

Edit - Satch Boogie, too! Hell yes.
