Mainly referring to the brand, is this one where people just buy it for the name, like the Elitist LP Cust. is just as good? (in ohter words, which is better Gib LP Class or Epi Eli LP Cust)

LP classic is well worth it imo, its cheaper than standards, and i like the look and feel of it.

so yes it is better than the elitist? ANNNNNNNND should i get the sg supreme instead (my band got delayed... umm.. a lot.... so i have time to work for a better guitar)? you should know by now the kind of crap i play (but the standard has hotter hummers... do the '57's dont sound as hot?)

Depends if you want the extra 2 frets, '57 sound vintage the pickups in the classic are the hottest gibson pickups, the elitist is also worth the price, not as good as the gibson, but really good quality. If you get the elitist, you can save for a good amp or pedals. But its up to you really, all the guitars you mentioned are well worth their price.
