Meh, to be honest, i doubt T-Rex would have been nearly as big had Bolan not died so young. The music to me isn't really interesting, and I have no doubt that if they'd kept playing they would have headed down a musical path that would have had the majority of you screaming musical treason.

But, in fairness, Bolan did star in one of the greatest rock and roll movies of all time.

Yeah, T-Rex were ace. The songs were so well crafted that he got away with using incredibly distorted and dirty tones yet making them sound like such good pop songs.

Best songs gotta be 20th Century Boy.

I love them, Electric Warrior is one of the albums that I have been listening to a lot lately.

The Slider > Electric Warrior.

Marc Bolan is awesome.

I will agree with Derigiberble that the later stuff was way different (not as good). There's far too much going on; good songs but too much synthesizers and the like.
Have you heard about my baby? Yes, how I love her, you don't know.

I just watched Born To Boogie. Its got some great live footage and some pretty darn wacky scripted scenes featuring people like Ringo Starr and Elton John. I never got REALLY into T-Rex but I think they are very good. Jeepster and Children of the Revolution are fantastic songs.

You know the bitter comes out better on a stolen guitar
