does someone know of a tutorial or a diagram, or may be good enough to explain how to add an ohm switch (4,8,16) onto a home-ade cab?

I don't think you would put an ohm switch on the cab, the resistance of the speakers and whether you wire them in series or parallel will determine what the ohm rating is. I suppose you could wire your speaker for the lowest rating, then add a resistor or pot to adjust overall resistance to match your amp. (your amp should have a switch on it anyway).
It's a fine line between clever and stupid.

normally switches go on amps with output transformers that have multiple tapped leads for output. You chould make one for a cab. But it'd be uncessesarily difficult. I don't really want to think about it, but it might even be impossible to get what you want.
