I've been hearing things about different bridges, and how its difficult to change the strings on each one, and stuff like that. Well what type of bridge is harder to maintain, tune-o-matic bridge or a floyd rose?

And is a tune-o-matic bridge the same as a floating bridge?

Thats a tune-o-matic.

I doubt people have fought holy wars and killed millions of people in the name of the Beatles, either. So, yeah, Jesus probably was bigger than them.

Floyd's aren't very hard at all if you know what you're doing. I can't get enough of em.. i'd take one over anything else, any day.

^ Well thats the thing, I have a standard trem right now and i use it alot, and when I played on a guitar without one i found myself reaching to use it cuz i forgot it doesnt have one. But if its a lot of trouble then maybe its not worth it? If like you're saying its not that hard, you just have to know what your doing then i think ill be alright if i ever get one.

how hard is it really? ive been looking at some used jacksons, b/c i want another guitar with a trem, and one with a fixed.
so is it really that hard to change the strings? i rarely break them. i did once, it was the low e, but it was dropped down to B# and it was on a cheap guitar. and i change them about once a month.

Its not hard, its just time consuming and a lot of fun. You'll need to always parallel the bridge to the the body and make sure that the tuning is in ur desired pitch. If you dive a lot, want weird sounds, neat sounds, then a floyd rose style bridge is best for you. Otherwise, if you're just doing a normal vibrato here n there, then dont get it, ur better off doing vibrato using normal vintage trem or a floating 2-way a-la vintage, or a fixed.

As far as changing strings or anything goes, again, it isnt hard, just that its time consuming and all those who said that its hard, actually doesnt have enough patience to even configure it, or the bridge may not be good in the 1st place.
