here's my new song, it's pretty much this, with an added line or two. It's about my ex who passed away about two years ago. hope you all like it.

Those flowers in your hair
remind me of the time we spent
in that empty field by your house
our two hearts beating together
it was only us in the world
everything passed us by
and we didn't care

funny how details stay
and the person vanishes
a face with no name
a book with no author

it's been so long, so long
since you've gone away
so long, so long
i've refused to say goodbye
for too long, too long
i've been stuck on your memory

like all things good, it had to end
but did it have to end like this?
words i never meant
made tears i wish you hadn't shed
one hasty decision led to this
now it's too late to try
and take back those empty words
G-G-G D-E-C C chord

wow. I really like it. incredible job.

like all things good, it had to end
but did it have to end like this?
words i never meant
made tears i wish you hadn't shed
one hasty decision led to this
now it's too late to try
and take back those empty words

that is the best part. I like this song 'cuz it seems like it came from the heart.9.5/10

thanks man, this is by far the best song i've ever written, and it's the most personal one at that, too

I thought it was good and so I don't insult the meaning of the song I just want to let you know that I think the reason and meaning of the song is excellent. With that said I would look over a few of the earlier lines for the rhythm, we were all taught about iambic pentameter in school and other forms of rhythm in poems etc, just look over the flow it reads well but there are a few jagged edges. Nice work though I look forward to more.
