Can someone show me a EVH stripe tutorial beginning to end? I can't find one anywhere!

OK different question.

I'm disassembling my squire, and there are two wires stuck to the volume pot, or something like that. How do I detatch them?!?!?!
#8
Umm... leave them there. Those are the wires that conncet the pickups/tone pots to the volume and then to the output. Don't touch.

Are you sure?! How do you paint with electronics in your way?

And why the hell is there a wire soldered to the trem piece? What the hell is it doing there?
#14
Snip them off with wire cutters, or heat up the solder holding them on.

There are 3 wires you need to de-solder to safely pull off the PG with the electronics intact:

1. The 2 wires (hot and ground) connected to the jackplate AND
2. The 1 grounding wire connected to the tremolo claw at the back.
#16
The hot and ground wires somehow fuse into one grey wire. If I were to snip this, could I solder it later without the wires getting mixed up or something?
#17
Or you could just take the knobs and pots off the picgaurd.

Ok, I figured out the wiring.

New question:

Is laquer the same as clear-coat?
