yeah, I'm starting to think that nowadays if you post much in the Pop Punk & Emo forum, you get flamed.

anyways.
Pop: stuff thats just popular radio hits, they usually die off after a certain time.

Punk: anti-Political music, f*** everything music, that kinda stuff. It was a movement that was popular back in the 70's and 80's, but very few punk bands are still popular today.

Emo: Simply put, emo is not music. Emo is just melodic whining and some dude playin some decent guitar. The lyrics are typically about how love has hurt someone so bad, and then slitting their wrists, since that is a very emo thing to do.

Listen to hawthorne heights' Ohio Is For Lovers and you will get emo.

Bands used to be called emo in the 80s because they gave emotional live performances. Very closely linked with the hardcore genre. Fused with indie in the 90s with bands like Sunny Day Rel Estate, Mineral and jimmy eat world. Recently has had connoctations with any band to write about relationship problems.

Kind of.

Why do these threads always attract idiots?

Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullsh*t in order to be comfortable?

That's when you know you found somebody special. When you can just shut the f*ck up for a minute, and comfortably share silence.
