i like lots of muddy waters, robert johnson, and leadbelly slide stuff but all that 12 bar can get repetitive (thats why leadbelly's in there, he does lots of non-12 bar blues)
Muddy Waters invented electricity.
I have a Duane Allman mix that is about 2/3 blues, and I like it a lot. Statesboro Blues, as an example, could make a small book of slide licks.

Unfortunately, a lot of the songs are his session work, so I'm going to have to do a little digging to find out everyone he was playing with on this album.
"Deleware Slide" is the single greatest thing ever done wit a slide.
