What would be good pickups to put into a basswood bodied guitar (my Washburn WI14)? I play a lot of different styles, but mainly hardcore/punk-ish stuff (think AFI and bands similar).

Also, how would I add in coil tapping on it? Do I need pickups specifically compatible with coil tapping, or do I just need new pots?

yay, and i dont know if you saw my edit but you need 4 conductor wiring and push-pull pots for coil tapping,, not sure on the exact wiring, and you will want a pretty balance pickup for basswood, where do you live? any budget, and youre looking for 2 HB's right

And btw, you mean coil splitting, not tapping.

They're different.

USA...so bareknuckles are out.

Yes, two humbuckers as well.

Coil splitting and coil tapping are different?

I need to spend more time in the gear and accessories board...

Also, for budget, I'd like it to be under $300 USD...Because for $300 USD I could just get a Washburn WI64D that already has coil splitting and decent pickups.
