Ok im checking out this song, where eagles dare by iron miaden,

http://ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/i/iron_maiden/where_eagles_dare_tab.htm

In the beginning you play the E string open 3 times, and the chords up the neck, the first being 9 7 7, Anywayz, on that second stroke, are you suppose 2 upstroke?

My up stroking is pretty bad an innacurate, but i guess theres no better time 2 learn, LoL

Just curious about what is the right way to play, thanks

Learn to play everything with alternate picking. It will help when you want to play any thing faster

I suppose if you upstroked it it'd make it easier to hit the downstroke again on the E string. I've always downstroked the second one, though, so I guess it's all down to preference. As everyone already said, whichever way's easiest and most comfortable for you will be the best way to do it.

If that isn't the worst example of taking something out of context I've ever seen! Awesome!
