So I've heard people say they use electric guitar strings on their acoustic, and I've heard others say I shouldn't do that. I have really thick gauge strings on my acoustic, and idk if I should put like the lowest gauge acoustic strings or just go with electric. What do you guys have to say about this?

why should you use electric guitar strings on your acoustic?
it´s like using a diaphragma as a male^^

i have tried it, its easier to play but it sounds quieter and a little bit different. if you want to try it go ahead it wont ruin your guitar or anything.

just out of curiosity, why are you wanting to do this? are you finding that the acoustic is much harder to play because the strings are thicker and you're used to playing electric?
