59 just has too much booming low end, and the jazz is just too thin for me. I went with the Alnico 2 Pro. Very thick on the overdrive and very articulate and clear on the cleans. But if i only had those two options and somehow was unable to get the APH, i guess the jazz since the coil windings are similar to the APH.

I heard Alnico II magnets can sound really muddy in Mahogany guitars. That's just what I've heard though.

I live by the '59 neck. It sounds so sweet. And the low end isn't too booming if you get your amp settings right. It's got more low end that the Jazz, but unless you have the low on your amp at 10, is certainly not overbearing.
