hi, i like playing 80's rock stuff alot right now.. def leppard, bon jovi, etc. i mainly like their solo tones, and sounds like the intro to pour some sugar on me. and the cleans as well. i also love the blues and tones like texas flood from srv. what amp is good for mainly this kind of stuff?

on a side note, what would be a good wah for this kinda stuff too?

Vox is a company. They make many amp models.

Threadstarter we need your budget and where you will be playing.

Get a Fender Deluxe Reverb and A/B it with a Marshall JCM800.

.............Any price range?

You could get a THD Univalve for that price.
It's a really nice little amp for home use.
It's cool feature is that you can put pretty much any tube in it you want.

You really should hear an amp yourself. A lot of people really like Mesa Boogie
which is high end stuff, but when I checked out Lone Star Special I didn't
like the sound at all compared to my THD BiValve. So, what someone else
likes, you may not.

a marshall of some sort would put you in the right direction but other than that i'd say maybe a traynor blue 50 or whatever its called

exactly, I liked the lone star special more than a bivalve. But the flexi 50 kicks ass.

um, i assume a flexi is over $1000?

what about a traynor ycv50? haven't tried it though, but I hear good things...
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

ill stick with line 6.

those are very versatile amps.

DO NOT GET A CRYBABY. line 6 doesn't have an effects loop, so it isnt that effective on the distortion. very good on clean-blues channels.
I love neapolitan ice cream, but I HATE VANILA AND STRAWBERRY!
