Is I turned my pickup around in its socket? So that the way it faced was reversed, kinda like how they string guitars for left hand play if its a right hander. What would it do to the sound?

It actually makes it sound better if you ahve the right pick-ups. Dimebag did it to his Dean.

nothing unless the pickup was fine tuned to the strings, say it was made to make the lower strings louder than the higher strings, as a result your higher strings would be louder and the lower strings would be quieter

No, you misunderstood him. He wants to flip it over. Make the outside the inside, Not the top the bottom.

nope, he said hw you'd string a right handed guitar for left hand so it is actually gonna be top to bottom. If you did that, the magnet (assuming it's a humbucker) would be right next to the strings and would probably pull them down and kill your sustain.

Jimi hendrix's signiture tone was, in part created by the fact that he had a right handed guitar strung left handed becuse strat pole peices are staggered so that meant the B string was louder and the A string was quieter.

The whole pickup is the same, all 6 poles are the same on each coil. Turning it round isn't gonna change anything. That's what I thought anyway. Les pauls have their neck pickups like that? And most HSH style guitars.
These go to eleven...

Yeah, but its reverse. Normally the agustable pole peaces face outwars, when I did it they faced inwards. It messed my my wiring so I need to get a soldering iron.
