Fly The Colours

Verse 1
Have things changed since September?
Well don't be fooled my friend
Cos when we don't remember
Things just come round again

And here's a point I can't take
Rules aren't made like before
They always seem to bend and break
To suit the men in law

Bridge
And if there's a masterplan for me
I will just sit back and let it be
Don't care if I live or if I die
Life is just a long goodbye
But give it a chance you'll be enhanced
There is more good there than meets the eye

Chorus
Tell me when, you choose to leave the sorrow
Maybe then, we'll start a-fresh tomorrow
Why the hell, should we accept to follow

So fly the colours

Verse 2
Strong willed and strong believers
Recipe for success
The rise and fall of leaders
Good men have died for less

You're living in denial
It comes as no suprise
You've known it for a while
Too late for compromise

Bridge
And if there's a masterplan for me
I will just sit back and let it be
Don't care if I live or if I die
Life is just a long goodbye
But give it a chance you'll be enhanced
There is more good there than meets the eye

Chorus
Tell me when, you choose to leave the sorrow
Maybe then, we'll start a-fresh tomorrow
Why the hell, should we accept to follow

So fly the colours

Hmmm nice song. Assuming I am getting the political vibe correctly, this isn't as cliched as many other political songs on this site. There were some parts where the rhythm could have been better, like the first line of the bridge "And if there's a masterplan for me" Maybe one syllable less for that line... but whatever you want.

Anyway, the bridge itself was good. I liked it a lot.

If you could get around to critiquing my song, I'd appreciate it: http://ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=389508

that song kicked ass... iv been trying to make a political point through lyrics for a long time, but i'm stuck to phylosophical modest mouse type stuff. kudos, my freind. kudos.
