Well, ususally...I would not even know...or care for that matter...until...I stumbled across a pack of regulars (10-46) Blue Steels...they felt like floppy, wet, half-cooked noodles...

You know, if some people dig that crap, more power to 'em...not me though...

I like 11s, Blue Steel...or Ernie Ball...

.10's cause they came with my guitar, and I didn't feel like trying other gauges

Well, from what my teacher has told me, he's held Eric Clapton's guitar and was telling me how light they where. I wanted that kinda bluesy sound.

.10's....I haven't tried .11's because I don't feeling like adjusting my guitar and all of that stuff yet. It's tempting though.

Never ever going back to .9's though

Jazz gauge .13's. Which I usually play in Drop Db

Jazz gauge means the G string has the metal windings on it, too. \m/

I like to use 10-56 or 11-58 on electric guitars for standard tuning...I find it easier to play fast rhythm parts with heavier strings, since they don´t flop around like they do on normal 9-gauge strings...But of course, it´s all about personal preference..

ive been looking for something like that.

11's for my strat... depends on the guitar too, though. a guitar that sustains well and has nice pickups will often sound great with just 9's, whereas something with very little sustain and lower-output pickups will be better with thick strings. also, nines are much brighter sounding than thicker strings and bend easier, which people like clapton use to their advantage--layla comes to mind
