I've got an acoustic guitar with D'Addario Great American Bronze strings.. And I just replaced the about 3 weeks ago.. and it's already getting all this greenish gunk on it.. How do I get rid of it??

I dunno about you guys, but this is supposed to be about string maintenance, not really about what brands I should buy.. although I will have a look at those DR strings..

try boiling them in water....its prolly just gunk from you fingers because you dont wash your hands before you play.

wash your hands after you eat, use the bathroom, go for a run, exercise, dig for treasure, whatever etc., and it'll reduce the green gunk by a lot.
Ibanez -> Peavey -> Eardrums

Apparently I'm on some list of people to listen to..?
