This is pretty much my first attempt at songwriting, so I dunno how good itll turn out.

<Verse 1>
The old man takes a long hard look at what has made his life
He realized that what he's got is based on work and strife
And if it were not for his friends he'd be here all alone
The clock hand's moving tick by tock his hands move like a drone's

<Chorus>
The shadowy depths of his wrinkled mind are slowly filled with light
As the days go by the dark is turned to light.

There's light in shadow.

<Verse 2>
And the old man gently speaks to one who is not there
The sole reply the old man gets is the creaking of a stair
Insanity consumes his mind and shadows blanket all
The old man finally understands theres no one there at all

<Chorus>
The shadowy depths of his wrinkled mind are slowly filled with light
As the days go by the dark is turned to light.

There's light in shadow.

<Solo>

<Harmonic Interlude>

<Chorus>
The shadowy depths of his wrinkled mind are slowly filled with light
As the days go by the dark is turned to light.

There's light in shadow.

Well I can top you all, I've done my mum, my step brother AND a cat. As well as quite a few corpses.
