i have an acoustic since christmas, i never used my humidifier for it, is it best for winter or should it be all year round, i heard that you don't need it for the summer season.

winter, but you only need it for certain types of wood

Any bands you're trying to copy/sound like?

For solid wood guitars, it is a must. Depending on your climate, depends on when you should use it. Here in New England, there is plenty of humidity in the spring and summer. I use it during the drier seasons of Fall and Winter to ensure I don't have any nasty problems with warping or cracks.

Partscaster/Tele into a bunch of pedals, a Maz 18 head, and a Z Best cab.

That has a solid top...which is prone to the humidity. It surely wouldn't hurt to use it during the drier months, when humidity dips below 50%.
