I have been looking for a new electric guitar and this may be the one. My guitar teacher recommended me the Jackson JS30 for its price and quality.

Your thoughts on this guitar and if anyone has this model can you please tell me if it is worth it?

Thanks in advance.

I say no, purely because the dinky is cooler. You prefably want one which is already set with EMG's

Bodacious Bob

Schecter Omen 7 Extreme
Ibanez RGR08LTD BK
Behringer TU-100
EHX Metal Muff
Boss MT-2
GLX EQ-100

I've got a JS30 Rhoads, and i love it. The pickups are horrible, but it plays awesome, i'm about to put a set of Rio Grande pups in.

God you Idiot, Not all EMGs aound bad in alder. 81 sounds thin in alder, but an 85 in the bridge will sound thicker and fuller.

Seems like a pretty good guitar for the price. I have the JS30RR, which is quite similar. Sounds great through a good amp. I would suggest changing the pickups though.
