erm...or not.

Theres A LOT of OTHER distortion pedals out there other then the MT-2.

What kind of amp do you have? and what is your style?
#5
Amp- Not really sure to tell you the truth
Style- MCR, Green Day, and System Of A Down...So...Rock/Metal?
#6
MCR, Green Day, SOAD?
Yea, the MT-2 wouldn't be what you want. Stay away from that.
You'd probably get too much of a scooped sound out of that.

The BOSS DS-1 might be a good choice.
Ibanez Tube Screamer is another I'd recommend.
DigiTech Hot Head also. That's actually pretty decent. I've played that one.

Go to a loca store and see if you cant check some of those pedals out.

Unless he has a tube amp, he won't be able to use the Tubescreamer.

^ well a Tubescreamer isnt a distortion pedal, its an overdrive pedal. Youre looking for a distortion pedal. Id try the Boss DS-1 or DS-2.
