They are on my mexican strat but there is nothing in them, nor holes for them in the pickguard, what is supposed to go there?

And also, is the pup setup SHH or SSH?

Edit: Sorry, fixed

maybe extra pickup switches? (kill switch, coil tap if you have a humbucker in the bridge)

i have no idea

routing looks like H/S/S to me, and, you put the same pup configuration there twice

so im going to assume you meant H/S/H or H/S/S

Extra routes to keep weight down. They couldn't be anything else, since they're not connected to the control route.

Then why not make them bigger?

If you take too much out, it'll get neck heavy. Also, you want as much wood mass as possible for sustain.

someone should so sig my quote

i think they just want them all to be the same weight. so they pull a couple of plugs when they get a heavier guitar.

Actually, being that it was made in Mexico, the extra routing under your pick guard is for smuggling cocaine across the border. Mine had them too, boy that was a fun day.

I don't know if I'm going to be the first one to point this out or not, but the threadstarter's grasp of the English language is similar to the one of a declawed kitten trying to pin down a piece of melting ice with one paw.

No, they make the cheapest Strats next to Squier.. For the price, though, they're damn good.

Have your guys heard about those asshole right wingers who are trying to make English the "official" language of America. If they do that all government websites, forms, etc. will be in English and only English.

...lol....
That's been said, and yes, that's correct ^^

There are also other guitars that have holes that are...erm....cooler shaped to give it hollowed body sound, but the ones on this strat are to lighten the load
