4. ON THE SUBJECT OF THE PEDAL? does it give me static and feedback and noise?

true...the JCM 900 isnt giving you enough? maybe try an EQ pedal. the boss EQ, i think the GE-7 is really good.

it does for punk, but i think the palm mutes sound too clean on full preamp gain, maybe its cause i bought it used and have no idea how old the tubes are

that could be it...take it to a shop of some sort.

but about the EQ, it really changes your sound. you can play with an amp that has only 2 knobs, a volume and gain, and get any tone you want with the GE-7.

the reason your not getting that "chugg chugg" sound is b/c of the EQ.

believe me, i just went through this about a month ago, thats why im using a bass amp.
but mess with the EQ pedal if you get it and it will help you sound like the friggin tank coming down the road you want it to sound like.

the CONS of this are...youre speakers, if they are not a good brand like celestion they will eventually just blow out, (another reason i got the bass amp)....so if you want that ****ing 747 up close bass, get a bass cab for it.

i dunno my speakrs are Crate special speakers, probably suck . what do you mean by 747?
Allright thanks, but since everyone has been off topic in everypost(!), do boost pedals give you alot of ERRRRRR feedback?!?!?
#10
747 is a very very big loud jet plane

not if your guitar can handle it

WHAT THE ****!?

i forgot that
single coils alone can not handle hard, metal distortion without giving much feedback
but a squire's a i cant imagine.
you will probably lose your hearing unless you turn the pedal off/volume on guitar.

By korean made guitars that come around for 200, change pickups......
Tone is all ...... well probably 75%, in your fingers.
The rest depends on your wallet's thickness !!

Keep the faith, baby!!

You will get better distortion sounds from a better guitar with humbuckers if that's what you want, rather than low output, crap, single coils from the Squier.
Buy an Agile and change the pickups or something like that.
