I'll be the first to vote.

TUMFP, alot of your bends sounded out of tune and I think you used a little too many of the same licks. The dissonant notes you used could have been utilized better, as they sometimes hurt my ears.

meh! First off, your tone is great. The phrasing could have been a little more interesting, But overall, solid clean playing with some interesting sounds in there. Didn't really flow too well, but you got my vote.

What does everyone use to record and that?

How are people doing things like fadeouts?

Guess phrasing something I just need to work on, it was improvised, but.

But, if as you say, the tone was great. I'd like to point out that it was done with a 15 what Marshal MG and a squire start (my usual guitar is away) two of the most hated things on this site....

I hated that backing track , but then, I'm probably just saying that...

TUMFP - I liked your tone, but it didn't seem like you were holding your notes long enough, and there was a lot of time inbetween your solo and it didn't flow that well,

meh! - Also, liked your tone, and your solo started to flow better than TUMFP's. And the distortion towards the end was good, not to overpowering...

So I go with meh

If I knew how to solo in blues i'd do this, but ya know, i'm only good at porno riffs

TUMFP - You had great riffs that would start out awesome, but it seemed like you couldn't finish them right, the endings to all of them sounded off, and it sounded like you were trying to find the right ending (ie when you would play the same note over and over dropping or raising 1/2 a step each time). That would've been awesome if you would've taken some more time and figured out a way to end those. if you meant to do that then... great job at being original.

meh! - You did a great job. I loved the thin sound you had going on for the first minute and a half. You needed to do a few retakes of your bends though, especially the gradual one. Ignoring that, I loved yours and voted for you.

TUMFP - i liked some of your fills and your tone, unfortunately i felt it got a little repetitive after a while (same problem i had with mine).. edit: i agree with wmzwhatever dude whose name i can't spell about your riffs starting out cool but coming up a little short...

meh! - that riff you played at 00:35ish was pretty cool.. the switch to distortion was a nice touch but i was waiting for you to explode with some sort of climax

my vote goes to meh! he had smoother licks.. both were good though!

i use audacity to record (free, google it) it has a fadeout effect where you just select what portion of the song you want to fade and then just click on "fade out" pretty handy stuff.. if you're looking for a quality recording software check out adobe audition. its expensive but professional quality... if you don't like paying out the anus for stuff like that go here: http://www.serials.ws/index.php and get the serial

I use audition, my father is the programming director at a radio station (99.3 FM WBT for those of you that live in Charlotte), so they just gave it to me to mess around on at home. But my recordings sound crappy because when I record I just use a boss bd-2, boss ge-7, and line out to the computer.

had to go with Meh. The phrasing was much more interesting. TUMFP's style was too stacatto and dissonant. Didn't really enjoy it. Love the amp buzz, too, meh

Hey, how do I get in on this?
