Im thinking of getting a new electric with a good tonal range. I was thinking of an Ibanez S-type. Any other suggestions?

I have a Marshall 100 watt but I want a guitar with tone, not a new amp.

An amp will affect your tone much more than a new guitar will. But the ibanez S-series is very good value.

Anything that isn't Yngwie's tone is good by me. I hate his tone more than I hate my job.

By any chance it isnt a Marshall MG 100 watt?

Yep. Got it mega cheap. I had a laney amp before that which I must say I prefered but had to sell it.

That amp will not give you good tone no matter what guitar you plug it into. Get a better amp first, then get a new guitar, the reason you got the amp so cheap is because it sucks.
