i was just at guitar center (i know i know i hate that place but its the only place that has a Dual Recto in stock). Anyways, I was torn between a TSL and the Dual...played the TSL at a pretty good volume. (They asked me to turn it down. my reply "Well do you want me to buy this amp or not?" then they said go head and turn it louder). Needless to say, I hated every moment of it. Ive played it before and I didnt think it sounded all that bad...but for some reason the sound did NOT appeal to me at all. I used a PRS, a Les Paul, a Fat Strat, and a regular Strat...and I couldnt find any tone I liked at all.

Then I went over to the Dual Recto, played it...and cried because it sounds so damn good.

Also because I cant afford it...

^ i wouldnt say it was HORRIBLE. I just didnt like it. Its a hell of a nice amp, one of the best...but I already have a Marshall JCM900 and Im tired of the sound, and all the TSL is is basically a 900 with a lot more gain...so yeah. im done randambling.

Well. I just want alot of opinions, because I am looking into buying one. I guess I should go to Guitar Center with my guitar and play one to get the full effect. But I still want reviews. I play a Post-Hardcore to Metal-Core style music (examples: Alexisonfire, Saosin, As I lay dying. Mainly Alexisonfire (no flaming please)). But that doesnt mean thats all I play, I like to play varietys, but thats what my band is based off of. Thanks for the reviews so far, if anyone else could submit, please do. Thank You

dude, I won't flame you, I mean there's people here who want to sound like Billie Joe Armstrong or Tom Delonge...
RIP Jasmine You.

I played one and it really reminded me alot of It Dies Today (despite they use Mesas). Anyways I really liked it and I myself am torn between the Mesa and the TSL 100. You are probably faced with a similar decision given the genres you mentioned. There's nothing wrong with saying you're into Metalcore, I am too. It's just the Metal forum doesn't appreciate it as it is a 'core, and therefore discussing it there is off topic. Anyways, I was really impressed with the TSL 100. It will take some playing with (the damn thing has enough switches and buttons, and I'm still not sure what the DEEP button does), but if done right, you can turn it into a massacre in a box.

2: No I'm not!

2: Yeah...
1: Well, do you like the guy w/ the little flimsy c*ck?
2: Nah, I like a big hard throbbing wet c*ck and...
1: See, eveyone is a little emo inside.
