My band is trying to learn a ton of songs, and we are mostly intersted in doing songs in Drop D Tuning. Does anyone have a list of Drop D songs? Or does anyone have any suggestions? We are doing mostly metal songs but also some mellow metal. Thank you.

There's a TON of songs in Drop D.

"Spy Hunter" by Project 86. It's not exactly what I'd consider metal, but its fun to play.

Yeah lamb of god is fun to learn, especially hour glass and ashes of the wake

Off the top of my head, metal, or well, 'heavier' bands that play in Drop D:

Avenged Sevenfold
Tool
Godsmack
Disturbed
Lamb of God
Trivium
Stavesacre..if you're really looking for the mellow thing.
All That Remains.. I think..

I thought I'd be able to think of more..
1992 Gibson Explorer (Seymour Duncan '59 neck, Custom Custom bridge)
Jackson King V Professional Std. (Seymour Duncan Invaders)
Mesa/Boogie Nomad 55
Mesa/Boogie 412 Recto. O/S Cabinet
Boss ME-50
MXR 10-Band EQ

Creed - My Own Prison

But please, make your distorted tone better than Tremontis on this song.

Yeah, we are already covering "Hourglass" from Lamb Of God, and we were hoping to do something from a different band with parts for 2 guitarists.

Bat Country - Avenged Sevenfold

It's a fairly easy song and an intermediate player should be able to learn it in about an hour (solo might take longer).

Lots of Rage Against the Machine is drop D, but they probably aren't metal enough for you.
