At last ive uprgraded from my crappy marshall mg15 to a special edition blue dsl401!

anyways my question is that i have a boss me50 which has quite a lot of different overdrives built into it and the amp seems to sound pretty good with the tubescreamer setting on the pedal but i was just wondering whether its worth keeping this setup or would i get an even better sound from having a proper tubescreamer on its own?

cheers

oh also im getting some noise when i turn the overdrive on the pedal on, what would be a good setting on the pedal to boost the distortion for a better metal sound?

Nice upgrade man... Marshall tube amps pwn. Separate effects are the way forwards... even if they're not that economical.

That's a lot of booze. Frankly, I'm impressed. You're of a stronger timber than the average man, jimbob! Hail you.
