Any fans here?

I think Beethoven's Last Night is a brilliant album. It goes from dark and heavy to ambient and beautiful so flawlessly. However there are very few times that the guitarist cuts loose and rips a solo. And when he does, it's so short... like a tease. Besides this album, the only other stuff I've heard is their christmas songs. I was wondering if there were any other albums by them that have more neo-classical guitar solos. Any reccomendations?

They're great. Saw 'em in concert in 2004. The End.

Actually I was just looking at the discography on their website. Apparently Beethoven's Last Night is the only non-christmas album they made.

That sucks

They're a great Christmas band though...they're like food. U can only listen to them when they're in season.

I like them, it's one of those christmas things, you can only really do at christmas, like watching crappy old movie repeats like "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" and stuff.

I'm really hooked on this Beethoven album. I GOTTA have more TSO...

Are the x-mas albums too.. ya know.. christmasy? Like, are there jingling bells in every song? Are there any instrumentals that could be enjoyed all year round, without giving a holiday vibe?

I find it very disappointing that such a talented group only makes christmas music. Given how good the Beethoven album is, I wish they would do some Vivaldi or Bach...

that's the concept of trans-siberian orchestra... I you like the beethoven album you will like the chrismas-albums. They are in the vain of christmas but isn't christmas just as old-fasion as beethoven?

Dude, save this thread for the holidays! Haha, just joking. They are awesome IMO. I have the Lost Chistmas Eve and seen them twice. Awesome lights at their shows.

Yeah, I don't like the whole "every song is a chrismas song!" thing. Maybe I'll get Beethoven's last night.

They are actually working on a new non christmas cd which i believe is expected to be out early next year. I saw them last chrismas and they were awesome. And i dont know if any of you realize this but Alex Scholnick from Testament is in TSO.

Christmas Eve is sick but I don't really like their other stuff.

Only have Beethoven's Last Night, but I absolutely love it. Gonna buy some more once Christmas comes around.

Amazing band, AMAZING show. Even if you didn't like the music whatsoever, you could appreciate the kind of show they put on. They played a quite a few songs that were not christmas-esque, which I think they will put onto an album soon.

Sweet. I think they said at the show I went to they were working on it. They should do a Christmas CD and then a non-Christmas CD and stay in that order.

Heard lots about them, but nothing from them.

Song suggestions?

Alex Skolnick, Al Pitrelli both play in TSO

and yea listen to Savatage if you guys like TSO, that band kicks an incredible amount of ass...

I'm with Axegrinder on this one. TSO is great, but I was a Savatage fan way before I realized that many of the people performing/writing for TSO are in Savatage. Both are excellent bands.
