Would it be worth upgrading my amp from a Line 6 Spider II 75 watt amp to a tube amp such as a Peavey tube combo? I need to know how much it would change my tone and if it would be a decent amp for a live setting. Would it be better to just save up and buy a lower end half stack? Other suggestions on tube combos are welcome and appreciated.

No halfstacks, get a valve combo.

Do you feel as if you need a new amp?

And yea, it'd sound so much better, try a load of valve amps and see what you think of the tone differences.

What styles are you looking to play?/what sounds?
