if u like teles then save up and get a proper american one, or even a mexican and then modd it with pups.

Just a suggestion...

Hope i helped
I've got something in my front pocket for you.
Why don't you reach down in my pocket and see what it is?
Then grab onto it, it's just for you.
Give a little squeeze and say: "How do you do?"

Well I wouldn't go for a Squier if it's your second guitar. I suggest saving a bit more. Also you could get a used MIM at a pretty good price. Save up for the Highway 1 if you can it's a little more expensive than the standard but you'll get more bang for the buck.
Whats your budget?

threadstarter, sounds like ur collecting starter guitars.

i guess if thats what u want to do then fine. but to improve ur sound u should start thinking about intermediate and higher end guitars.

with that said. squiers are fine starters or to mod.
if u play heavier music, i suggest u make sure ur getting one with an alder body and a humbucker.

good luck.

a squier is ok to start off with. After a while though its gonna start to fall apart. i would suggest that you can maybe search around ebay for a used MIM tele, i know you might not have the money now, but if you save up the money and get a standard MIM it will saveyou money in the long run.
